Default Sun fading

The inner fairing is (obviously) supposed to be black. The top edges of mine, right behind the windshield, and on either end over the speakers, is starting to grey out, I would assume from the sun.

Has anybody discovered a product that will make those areas appear black again, short of taking the fairing apart, and having it painted?

I use Protect-all (sp) or Aerospace 303 on mine (all black surfaces at the least. Has UV protection in it. Not sure how it will work after fading has started. Have used it on Boats, RV campers and other bike with good results. The bikes spend a lot of time in the Florida sun

There's an OUTSTANDIN' product ah've used for years - used ta be called "Formula 2000", now called "F21" - think they wuz bought out by Turtlewax. It has returned some VERY sun-faded parts ta "like new" colors - and KEPT 'em like that - on a lotta bikes an' cages fer me. Ah use it on all the plastic trim work - an' it does NOT make the plastic "slick" like armor-all an' similar products!

This is common. There are really two issues. The flat black grays out and some of these products will help that. The biggest problem is that sometimes the paint is actually too thin, and white begins showing through. Stop being a cheap bastard and paint that inner fairing.

Lemon pledge shines my fairing up nicely, along with the rest of the bike!....give it a try.
