Cool Fade on fairing

I have a faded spot on the inside top of my fairing, and wondered if anyone knew of something that would blend it back in? Can't afford to get the inside painted right now.

Without giving this a whole lotta thought, black paste shoe polish came to mind.

Mothers "Back to Black" worked on my bro-n-laws
2008 Road Glide inner fairing that was sun bleached
to the point that spots were almost WHITE. I use this
product on mine every now and again. He tried it on
his and he applied it several times regularly and it slowly
returned his inner to black, may be worth a shot.

I too have used Mother's Back to Black, especially on a Jeep that had faded black body side molding, bumper caps and fender flares. Made them look new again, for quite awhile, before wiping them down again with the Back to Black.

I've tried Mother's Back to Black too. Not on an old faded piece but on my new bike as a preventive measure.

Not gonna use it anymore though as it seems to be a dust magnet.

I've pretty much washed it all away by now and my new "preservation" plan is to simply minimize the sun exposure. Not talking about not riding, but simply parking in the shade whenever possible as opposed to letting it sit in the sun for extended periods.

Have had the same issue with my 04 Standard for years. Since I spent most of my time partying & riding, I've never wanted to bother peeling off the fairing to paint it (because they are for riding and not for looking at) but when I wash it and want it to look new-ish I rub motor oil on the faded spots (it lasts for a couple of weeks) I ride everyday for at least 700 miles a week and I park it outside while I'm at work in the Mojave desert.

I use to use a satin black spray paint, now mine is painted so I don't need to do that any more.

Default Bondo Restore Black

This product works well on black plastic as long as you don't mind reapplying it every three or four months.

+1 on Back to Black. I apply, let it sit in sun, the rub down after about 2 hours. Doesn't seem to attract any dust then. Oh wait, that sounds like what I do with my girlfriend too!
