Can I ask why you want one? I felt the same way initially but have learned not to need it. My 13 RK has a rev limiter to save from an over rev. These bikes really don't give a lot of extra power higher in the rev range.
That at being said the police tach is what I would do over looking down at the tank.

Have a drag specialties one on my 02 rk...
Drag specialties comes with instructions....need to find the "Pink" tach wire to make it work. Some bikes it's in the head light, (like mine was) some it's in the harness, some it's under the tank dash....not sure on the 06 but it should be similar. I think on the 06, the mileage is stored in the speedo, not the computer like the newer ones.
MVX Series and Dakota Digital make speedo tach combo replacements.
