Fob battery is upside down or bad starter relay/solenoid.

Not a security issue if the fuel pump isn't even coming on.

See above. Not a security issue

The run/stop switch (or something in that circuit) is preventing the fuel pump and starter from getting power
But it isn't a security issue, since the fuel pump will run even without a FOB present.

When you state "Have checked all the obvious"
How did you check the motorcycle battery and the fob battery?
Is it possible that motorcycle battery is dead?
Meaning that battery has enough amps to turn lights on and such but not enough for operation.
The bike is described as a 2012..is that the original battery?
Do you hear a very soft click when you hit the start button?
Did someone change the bars on the bike and maybe the run/stop switch was pinched?
How did you check switch?
The no fuel pump noise makes me think run/stop switch or motorcycle battery.

The solenoid and relay have nothing to do with security and everything to do with what you are describing.

See if its throwing any codes (TSSM/TSM etc). There's only so many things that will cause a bike not to prime and for the starter not to engage at the same time. Typically the bike will crank but pump wont prime or vice versa. Since your security light is also on, might be an ecm issue. Does the bike have a stock ecm? Bad kill switch or a pinched wire to it might be the culprit also specially if the bars were changed and the wires were re run. Good luck and let us know how you get it fixed.

There is a tab in the fob that was not making contact with the new battery in the fob. Works great now. So it was a security issue. Thanks for all the input.

glad that you got it running, but still, the security has nothing to do with the fuel pump priming.

Having the same problem. Changed the bars on my 2009 Ultra and now I get nothing when i hit the starter button. i have read this entire thread and done everything including checking for pinched wires on the handlebars and still nothing, I feel as if it is a security system problem. When I turn on the ignition switch, the fuel doesn't prime, the security indicator flashes a couple times and then stays on solid. I have changed the battery in the fob and checked its contacts. The battery is fully charged. I also noted that the siren is not sounding so i changed the 9v battery with a new one. I also checked the harnesses for the new bars. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. thanks in advance.
