Do the Reckless fairings come with mounting brackets, or they use your HD Brackets? Will Memphis Shades brackets work? Will I be able to retain my Tachometer? (Police Model s have Tach mounted to Handel bar clamp) Any one know measurements of the standard and XL model? I have the Memphis Shades, and i'm looking for something that gives a little better hand shielding, and want to add some tunes. Matuza also has a shell similar to the Memphis, but is wider. Anyone have any experience with them?
Thanks
My Reckless XL Fairing came with mounts attached, and metal attachments to replace the windshield rubbers. I don't have a tach, can't help you with that.
I think it's a quality product. Call 'em with any questions, they will work with you.
The Infinity head and Polk speakers work great. I bluetooth it to my phone.
I put the fairing on when it gets brr cold, and take it off when it warms up. It is stored away in the garage right now till next winter.
I also have Reckless Fairing and I'm very happy with it. Tach won't fit though if you have the police model. Mine came with brackets. I had to remove the rubber windshield grommets and install their supplied aluminum ones. You will also have to move your driving lamps forward which requires a 9/16 socket with a slit up the side. I bought a 2 dollar one and used my dremmel on it.
Think about selling the tach to someone who could be looking for one and getting a Speed/Tach combo for the tank.
About the Matuza, I've heard good things about some of their side bags and tour packs.
I also recall reading that the Reckless Fairings have had some issues with paint if they are painted and shipped by them. Someone on here had problems with bubble wrap markings as the fairing was wrapped/shipped too soon after paint, others chimed in with their woes as well. If you're going to have a private painter do the work, then no worries about that.

Since I starting looking to upgrade, I also started looking at Stealth, which looks like the Reckless, but is only sold without installed audio systems. Can anyone confirm that standard HD windshields and windshield bags will fit? Stealth does give their dimensions, Reckless does not, I e-mailed them and all the replied was that the XL is bigger, wouldn't say in which way, wider, deeper, or taller, just bigger.
