It's illegal, so should Johny Law see it and be having a bad hair day, he can make your life unpleasant and rather expensive. I've never heard of this happening, but it's not impossible.
Harley can also attempt to use this as a basis to reject engine warranty claims. Considering Harley dealerships seeming enthusiasm for finding ways to deny claims, this seems quite possible.
It will be cooler.
It will impact the tune on the bike.
It will get slightly louder.
It will void your drive train warranty if caught by Harley as mentioned above.
