Default ECM reset

do you have to reset ecm when you unplug it,installed new main wirig harness, motorcycle won't start ,cranks,no fuel pump ,and 6 fault codes for tps,

when just unplugging, no you don't have to reset anything....snds like there is a bad connection somewhere.

checked connections ,they all seem to be all connected ,wonder if ecm fryed ?

What year and model? If it's throwing codes for TPS then it may need the ignition cycled a few times to reset all the zero's on the throttle. Literally turn everything on but don't try to start it, count to three, then turn it off at the key switch. Count to three and do it again. Cycle three or four times then try it.

You installed a new wiring harness? I doubt the ecm is your problem. I'd double and triple check you have your end connections are right. Might find one or two hooked backwards..

Unplugging it and plugging it back in would be no different than changing the battery. What was the bike doing before you changed the main wiring harness. If security was set and not disarmed, unplugging ECM and then replugging it will require a reset from the Harley 's computer

09 road king police ,old wiring harness fuse box termials corroided ,having problems with no start,motocycle has no alarm active
