did anyone do americade my first time it was awsome. traveled through vermont to go to canada but they are real ********* at the border would not let me in.I guess in there country once your a bad boy here you can not go there. But none the less the whole ride was great. Turned around and headed back to lake george and not a drop of rain. Saturday i am going to laconia so more great riding and the weather looks good. ride safe joe v
I rode out Monday in the rain and back Sunday in the sun-rain-sun. It was my first Americade and first rally. I had a great time. Met lot's of great people and rode 1306 miles. The best ride was to Lake Placid.
Same thing here. I had a great time. My first major rally. Intend to go to Bike week, Myrtle beach, Laconia, Biketoberfest, or the national HOG rally next year. Hey, I can only go to one a year.

it was my third americade. i live just down the road so its easy for me to jump up. always a treat to have a rally so close. have been to laconia the last 2 years, not going this year. daytona bike week the last 3 years, have met some good friends there and we always meet up at the same campground. and sturgis in 03 and 06.
i like to take time off work and have the vacation and fundage for the trips.
if you go to bikeweek in daytona, and are camping. be sure to bring a warm sleeping bag. hot as ballz during the day but down right cold at night.
i live in Vermont and i have been to the Americade the last 3 years and it is a great place and clean, low keyed but still a great time. Have been to Laconia around 20 years ago a number of times and it is a different experience than Americade especially back then and a lot of fun and wild time. Laconia has added a bunch of police officers over the years and now i take my boys too the race on Sunday for fathers day and yes we go in the family truckster, miss not taking the bike. I have never ridden up to Lake Placid will have to plan that soon.
