Low Cost Amp Added-Good Results
Stock head, was looking for something to bump up the sound on a budget. Replaced stock fairing speakers with 6.5" Rockford Fosgate units and added same to lowers...maybe $120 total in those with adapters. Wired in the unused rear channels and added an Alpine amp that is a mere 45w rms per channel that cost $115 so for a total of maybe $300 this kicks stock setup ***. Link is to a minute long demo using GNR and Slash solo, sorry on the walk around portion, causes too much echo from walls but get the idea from in front. I'm quite happy that it worked out as well as it did. It was a fun project!
So 45 watts per channel made them sound good... Thats awesome I really need to invest. So i got an electra which is only a two channel. How did you tap into the real channels? I too had the idea to get a set of speaker lowers.
