2013 EGC. Stock HK head. So added 6.5 4ohm speakers to lowers and in fairing, adapters for each worked great. Currently running in parallel to have sound. Obviously better than stock but ready for the next phase of adding amp. Having not looked while having fairing apart, does the stock setup have the connector and wires in place (connector 28b in diagram) for rear wiring even tho not having rears on my tour pack? Wondering if I will have to source the plug. Also just to make myself feel better, am I correct that on pre rushmore setups as mine , there will be non faded audio on those lines out for rears and a dealer flash would be needed to activate the fade? Not sure needed for fairing/lowers but may be nice to try. Thanks!
Well this worked out very well. Made the cable to bring out the rear channels from HU from parts listed and wired in a 4 channel Alpine KTP445U. Im not sure I will worry about a dealer flash to get the fade options. Not a high end setup but has met my goal of making this sound clear and loud. Stock was not getting it done and by doing on my own I have that satisfaction. I think I may have a total of $300 in invested in speakers, adapters, amp and cables to get a 45w rms/channel setup but this kicks butt of stock.

the rear channel outputs are active for all 06-13 Harley Baggers with the stock Harley radio ((except CVOs))
with the techno-research or diag-4-bike digital technician you can also turn on the front/rear fader options for the 2006-2013 Harley HK radios ,,,,,, but it is not necessary to do this to have good sound, only for the front/rear fader option ,,,,
I have the j&m rocker4 ch set up on my 08 ultra 500 watt amp.. does great.. but thinking of going with more watts now.. after a couple of yrs you get used to it & want more. Lol

Wonder if the mods are OK with it now Sbates? It sure seems that way with their non-action on these clear violations. You know they see it so it must be accepted now.
Another thing that irks me about JMJohn is his apparent love affair with commas. Maybe his keyboard get's stuck on them ,,,,, or ,,,,, something ,,,,,
