I am pissed!! I was in a show this past weekend at the local Harley shop, and took a 2nd place. There were 27 bikes in my class, so some would say that is good, but I dont take 2nd place to good. So, I am pissed because the 1st place guy just cost me about 10 grand, LOL!! He had motor, and I had paint. I guess what I am getting is, who has the best deal going on the Jim's 120 engine. I think this is my next purchase, and I hear the retail price is around 7 grand. Thanks!
can't help you with the motor issue BUT where are the pictures of the scooter???

There are many Harley dealers who claim to know much about the JIMS 120 and how to best complete its build for your application, but, by way of some research on your part, I recommend you drop by http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com...iew.asp?fid=41 and talk to the folks at Latus-Harley if for nothing else but to get an overall idea on all aspects of build and costing of your desired build. The JIMS, like the Zippersperforance 120 http://www.zippersperformance.com/ have many options in build so you can't really look at it from a "best deal" for costing scenario, not until you know, for sure, how you want to complete your engine build. Good luck.
The show was at New River Harley, in Jacksonville N.C. I Will post pics soon.
I was at a show here in Va. last weekend also, ( rather not give the name ) the winners either had a sticker from the local dealer or were local hog members. Can you say " RIGGED " ?

Latus Motors is a good suggestion. They are local for me and I feel very fortunate for that. They also offer a buy back program on your stock motor to help offset the cost of the Jims 120's. Contact Mike Stegman for more details.
I have spent thousands over the years on big block chevy's just to be one of the baddest on the block, and I dont see a point in stopping now. So, any help I can get on this engine swap would be appreciated. I wish I were a little closer to Oregon, Latus seems to get good reviews. I dont know to much about Zipper's, but will be reading all I can.
