Default S/E SLIP ONS & ENGINE TEMP

I have a 2007 flht and I am looking to cool the engine down,so I am thinking of putting the s/e touring mufflers on with a better air intake and letting my dealer do the down load from harley to increase the fuel.will this lower the engine temps ?.

Not by much, if at all.ASERT orPC III will be more effective and give you more options if you decide to do upgrades later.

Nope.....the Stage 1 download ($150.00) is still EPA compliant and the engine will still run lean and HOT. I'm wrestling with the same issue after the download. My bike runs strong with no issues but man when it gets above 80 degrees and I get in any kind of traffic........wow.... the heat is unbelievable!) Will probably go with the SERT (Scream'in Eagle Race Tuner $450. + Dyno tune $210). Others will say go to the Power Commander III but I have heard about problems and really don't like the idea of something else bolted to the bike that can go wrong.....

The Stage 1 with a custom SERT map to richen the AFR, and dyon'ing will help a bunch. Still had the radiant heat while waiting any length of time, on the thighs and the passengers legs. added some RJs, and the bike is a pleasure to ride now.

Love my PCIII. 18 months and no problems. Has cooled my bike down. Gained 7 hp after dynotune. I have about 7 maps that I change back and forth. One for HP, one for gas milage. I can change them to tune out the popping on deceleration. Mainly to cool it down for rallies and heavy traffic and to raise gas milage for the daily ride to work.

I hope the SERT helps. I have the best wife in the world. She bought it for me for father's day and I get it installed tomorrow and dyno'd on Friday. One thing the stealer said for the 1K service, which was the original reason the scoot was going in, was to change to royal purple syn and Bel Ray gear saver to help with the heat. Is the stealer right? I hope so...these guys have been very very good to me in the past (I know to some that would seem as a shock) so I just like to be a well advised customer b4 I go in. HAGO! Save your money and skip the download. If you want plug and play, get the TM with auto tune. It's a little more expensive than the SERT with a dyno tune but once you hook it up, you will never need another dyno.My 2 cts.
