Default Aftermarket windshields

Opinions please.

I have a LRS recurve on my 08. I really like it. But I cracked it when reassembling everything from my project. Didn't have it lined up correctly when I tightened bolts apparently.

I need a new shield. I see LRS has the Megacurve now. Anyone have that? Is it better? What is it made of?

What about other brands. What do you all have? What made you choose the one you have?

I am liking the megacurve so far but I really like the idea of the LRS elite because it is poly and scratch resistant. Not sure what the other brands are made of. Thinking of staying away from acrylic this time.

Thanks in advance.

I have the Mega-Curve, along with every other shields they sell for my bike except a Flat top. I did not notice any substantial difference between the Recurve and Mega Curve. My favorite is the Mega Wide.

I have purchased 3 LRS windshields, and will definitely call them for any future bike windshield needs or wants,

I believe LRS May still be running a sale - check the website.

My advice, call and talk to Matt at LRS - he may just make you a smoking deal for a replacement for you, and for sure he can talk to any differences or benefits in the recurve vs the mega curve.

8" Memphis Shades Ghost windshield, top 2" is clear, the rest is smoked, really works good.

I have been through quite a few shields on my bikes and LRS is by far the best bang for your buck. I had an email from day before yesterday maybe about a sale that was about to expire. I would give them a call. They appreciate return customers and may well give you a break on the price.

I now have a 7" LRS recurve and like it. With that said, I had a 8" Freedom shield I really liked as it was thicker. It didn't have the "curve" of an LRS, but the extra inch made up for that. I don't mind either one. I chose light tint so I can see the road better at night.....
