Aftermarket windshields

A couple of questions - how challenging is it to trade out the windshield? I did that a number of years ago on my 2011 Ultra but traded that in for a 2017 Ultra Limited. It is currently in storage and wondering if the vent makes it harder, easier, or no effect?
Second - I am looking for help in shooting the wind over the top of my passengers head. I find the standard windshield does a good job for me but the wife always complains about her head getting knocked around. Limits the miles I can put on.
Anyone have thoughts on if a recurve will help with this?
Thanks.

A recurve type windshield is what you want for sure, but there is a few things you must consider first. How tall are you and how tall is your wife?If she is taller then you then your going to have to get a shield thats taller then you normally would use.A properly fitted windshield for you, the top edge should be between your upper lip and nose so your looking over the windshield. If she sits alot taller then you in the seat, the windshield will have to be taller. That means your looking thru the top edge of the windshield.Looking thru the top edge of a recurve windshield is very annoying,it can be a little distorted.Just something to think about.
