Default 3" Windshield

I’d like to know if anyone has seen a 3”windscreen for the faring on a Streetglide. If so, can you point me in the right direction? The shortest I’ve seen is the 4” that comes stock but it looks to me like it could be cut just a little more to give an ever cleaner/sleeker look.

Some of my cutomers have cut the 4-6 incher down to make a 2-3 inch version. Its not that difficult to do... make a cardboard template, trace it on the windshield, best done on a scroll or bandsaw & use fine paper to sand it smooth. You can polish the edge using acetone & a q-tip... but be careful it will disolve the plastic.

Thanks for your suggestion; my first choice would be to purchase a shorter shield before cutting. So, if anyone has suggestions I'm still looking.

Cheers!

Yesterday I found Clearview Shields http://www.clearviewshields.com/shop/index.php and contacted them about cutting a custom shield. They were very nice and eager to help. I measured my stock shield and it was 4.75” (not 4” as I expected) so they’re going to cut a 3.5” opaque black shield; I’ll post a pic when it’s done. Thanks all.

I cut down a clear one I had laying around to 2". I contacted Fast Aire about getting one of thier dark smoked ones cut down to 2" but they will only make them in 4".

The other day I pulled it off and just painted the inside black! The 2" cut out all the wind buffeting of the 4".
