I did the same research on these forums on lubes you did. I ended up with Mobile 1 V-Twin in engine, Mobile 1 75-140 in tranny (here in hot Texas) and Harley Formula+ in primary. Would have used Redline, but had trouble finding it and can buy the mobile 1 products at Autozone. As many have said, it shifts easier into neutral with the 75-140 in tranny. The Mobile 75-140 is equivalent to the Redline Heavy Shockproof.

Mobil 1 75-140 Gear Lube in Transmission
Runs a little cooler after adding in 1000 mile service. Still sometimes hear the "rocks in a can" noise but never was an issue with me. These are the noises we deal with on our beloved Hogs!!

Redline in the engine and transmission..., but HD Forumla + in the primary. I like Redline, Mobil 1, Amzoil in anything other than the primary... Do what ya gotta do, but when it comes to clutches I want the clutch plates to hold.... no synthetics for me in my primary.
