Just ordered two Metzeler ME888 Marathon Ultra Tires from Dennis Kirk.

$377 shipped and no tax seems like a good price compared to the HD Dunlap's and from past experience with my VRod, the Metzeler's handle better.

Bend the value stem around while spraying soapy water.
I've had a lot of stems crack on me, but they looked fine until you bend them.

Mine are the aluminum ( I think ), angled ones....No bending there.....

Tires were made in the 12th week of 2012, so I guess I'm due, even though thread & sidewalls look like new.....

My fault for not riding much in the last three years....

With bike up on the jack, tire aired up -
Put a container of water under the suspect wheel and ease the jack down until the tire is under water just over the rim. Slowly rotate the wheel. The leak will appear.
The spray bottle method works best with soapy water, a little dawn or joy in the water will usually make it appear very easily.
Sometimes my mountain bike tires will get a slow leak, and the submerge test on an inflated tire is the only way I can find it.
Trust me, if you have a leak, this will expose it. "Mark it".

Have you ridden it lately? The tire has to be spinning for the sealant to coat the inside of the tire to find the leak and plug it.

Still....I would also suggest new tires.

It might not be the tire. I had a similar issue except tires were less than 6 months old. My front tire would lose air - about 5 lbs overnight at first but then within a week it would go flat overnight. I could not find a nail or leak anywhere and eventually took it in to the dealer. It took them a while to find the leak, but it ended up being a small defect in the wheel, the tire was fine.

But, as mentioned above, a 5 year old tire is due for replacement.

Seen that fairly often on 4 wheel vehicles - the bead/rim mating was the culprit.

Default Opposite problem

I agree. Replace the tire

My wife’s bike had the opposite problem. Pre ride inspection found large nail protruding from side. Air pressure was right where it should be. Dealership that replaced tire was amazed

New tires and Ride-On sealant on the way.......

I'm hoping by spending the money makes me more motivated to ride more.....

Thanks for all the suggestions....
