Default ACR problem

I have a new set of acr installed in my 2008 FLHTC MOTOR CRANKS NO START unless I pull the ground wires Cranks but won’t start when hood up to ground positive wire hot to green wire at relay ?

Did you replace the ACR's or did you add the ACR to the bike with the harley kit?

new heads from Harley HD ACR wired to starter relay green wire and Chassis ground

I think ya need to hook the hot to the big main starter cable. Ground to ground.

And unooking the grounds on the acr allows the bike to fire up? Are you positive you are on the starter relay? Sounds like something is grounded out through the acr.

yes with ground on motor spins no start acr working.ground on hard cranking but starting

Damn.....I had that same problem! Slid a stick of dynamite into the fuel tank with the fuse sticking out the top, put a match to it and RAN.

Problem eliminated......

ECM has to see crank slow down, combined with crank tooth count, to know which cylinder to send spark to. Going directly to the starter relay may bleed off too much pressure for the ECM to recognize which cylinder it's on, so no spark. Solution is to install the correct ACR wiring harness, and have them turned on in the ECM.
