Who has Cobra Slip On Neighbor Haters?
#22
I know, old thread.
I put NH on my 14 RoadKing behind a S&S powertune header. The 103ho sounds amazing at idle with them, you'd swear it had a small cans upgrade.
. BUT! Contrary to EVERYTHING I had read up on while researching, imo, they just aren't obnoxiously load. Granted, they only got a couple hundred miles on them. I'm in Ohio, and the bike is comming out next week. After a refresher hearing it, I'm considering removing the baffles, and shortening each one up and reinstall to see if I get a lil more volume at steady speed. I hope it's not a mistake, but I ride helmet less and I mostly hear the breeze.
I've done this on a set off shorties on an older fxr back it the day. Remove untill ya get what ya want.
Like to see a picture of the baffles themselves. Anybody got a pic? Either way, I'll find out soon.
Worse that can happen is not like it and wireweld back on. I love the look of the baffles from the rear though, that's why I'm only shortening instead of full removal.
