How much do you think it would cost to repaint a set of tins off an ultra in order to get rid of the pinstriping?
(front fairing, tourpak, saddle's, etc...)
I would offer to trade with someone who has an EGSin the same condition. You might even get a couple bucks for the trade. Where do you live? Then you are just looking to paint tour pak and the lowers.
Harley only sells their paint in quarts. I checked into my adding a fairing for my bike and having a buddy paint it for me. The color was Lava Red Sunglo and it ran $165 a quart.Anyway, a quart of paint will paint an entire front of a car so it is way more paint than you need, but Harley only will sell you that much or nothing! As far as the cost to actually paint the bike I could not say, but I would think it would be under $1000 (or this is what my friend would charge for such an easy job).
I swear up and down they would only sell me quarts. In fact, I did not believe the first dealership and called a second one. Guess what they said....QUARTS only!
It appears Harley does not even know so how could I. lol
HDChloe... Hey NO PROBLEM... I just needed enough paint to do the King Tour Pak that a friend gave me (stripped) - After the cost of putting it all together and the paint (no labor as I am a partner in a Body Shop) I should have just bought the complete assbly from HD???
So funny I saw this. I was just looking at my scoot and noticed a slight paint crack in the tourpak lid and the rubbing on the gas tank and some other minor blemishes and said...."I wonder what it would cost to repaint everything?" Wifey wants all the pinstriping gone, repainted vivid black and red Harley Davidson lettering on the tank.
