Default Removing Oil Cooler

i need to remove the factory oil cooler in my flhtk to get to my regulator... it is drivin me nuts... is this thing held with T45 torx bolts? is a torx a torx or does harley do something different here...? my indy want about 75 to replace this and im thinkin it should be straight forward once i get this cooler out....providing the regulator plug ins have a little slack ... preciate it

Yes, they are torx headed bolts. Remove the 2 bolts and the cooler will be able to move some. I believe the 2 nuts that hold the regulator down are 7/16th.

Make sure you use a quality torx bit, cheaper ones could damaged the fastener, not something you want to do!

yep.. thanks. ..got it.. it is a torx T45 by the way ..picked one up at homedepot.... husky..fit nice and tight and i was a little surprised how easy they moved...now on to the regulator
