i just got a 08 road king,and noticed that the adjustable spring is on the right side. is this a bid deal?

08 Road Kings did not have an adjustable "spring" from the factory. They came with the air adjustable shock

Your bike is ten years old and a PO has replaced the original air shocks, quite possibly with H-D Premium Hand-Adjustable shocks. Frankly that is not a wise move, as the later models have a much stiffer swingarm than yours and can cope with having dissimilar shocks. Your bike would be better with a pair of identical ones IMHO.

yeah, but if they put the adjustable shock on the right hand side, instead of the left, then the adjuster **** would be pointing into the tire. it may even hit, i dunno, never thought to try it....
