My daughter, along with my wife, bought me an adjustable backrest for our EG Classic for Fathers Day. I was wondering about how long should I expect to take installing it, and are there any quirks, or tips that some of you can offer and or explain?? I usually install my own goodies, and am mechanically inclined.....
might take an hour or so, not to install but to install and uninstall to adjust to where you are comfortable. Some folks have even had to bend the backrest bars to get em comfy.
I would say it will take about an hour to install. Some areas of challenge could be the routing of the cable and mounting the adjustment handle. Make sure you engine is cool, as you'll be working near the rear exhaust pipe. You'll need to remove your seat of course. Good luck!

About an hour is right, a couple of the bolts for the adjustmet lever are a little tricky to get in. I was thinking of bending my support also after I put mine on but I'm really getting used to the feel. It is great on the back.
