I am thinking about putting Big Radius pipes on my 2012 FLHX over the Winter. Can I do that without a race tuner? Will a download work? I already have a Stage 2 Heavy Breather air breather on the bike.

if you already have an intake then yes you need to tune it. You can do one or the other but not both without a tune. Your tune can be xieds or a small little tuner or a nice one

Get a FP3 and call it a day. Unless you are going to built the motor, then get a tuner and a dyno.

+1 on that. Check eBay for great deals and as said above you can either do one or another, but not intake & full exhaust w/ tune.

I would suggest the Powervision over the FP3 unless you are never going to do cams. FP3 is not near as good once you get into cams and headwork.

I had them in black on a Road Glide and really liked the way they looked and sounded. Nice thing is not many people have them on a touring bike.

The difference around here is that most dyno shops won't tune with a FP3.

Tuning with an FP3 on a dyno would be a freakin nightmare. I'm not well versed in the PV but an FP3 and only being able to change one cell at a time on a cell phone would be enough in and of itself to make me not use it for a dyno tune. I used a lot of different software when I tuned cars years and years ago from AEM, Motec, Crome, Hondata, and so on and they are all very similar. TTS and even Power commander is similar as well but the FP3 is far from user friendly for actual adjustments outside of their own autotuner.
