If everything was running properly before your problems, then No... adjusting pushrods will not affect the valve "seal". They only adjust the preload on the lifter...

OEM pushrods are not adjustable anyway. Unless you added adjutable pushrods during a cam change (or other engine work) it's not an option...

My post above, was an answer to a posted question, about adjusting pushrods to fix leaking valves...

Now, all of a sudden, I'm the thread starter and the original question is missing...

Adjustable pushrods would solve this whole post issue

The good news is you're much better with mechanical things than you are with computers

Well, ya got me. I kept trying to scroll up and refreshed the page a couple times trying to figure out why I couldn't see the first post (viewing on my phone via garagetalk app, I have to do this all the time to see posts that dont show up.)

First time I've ever seen this, let alone, had it happen to me....

I saw a question (1st post), gave a response (2nd post), and went to bed.....

The next morning I opened it up to see if he got my info, and the original #1 post, with the question, was gone. My response was now #1, and I was labelled as the "thread starter".... ???????

He basically posted that he overheated his engine, did a leak-down test, and he was losing compression through the valves. He wanted to know if adjusting the pushrods could stop the valves from leaking.

All I can think of is that he read my answer, maybe got embarrassed by the question, and deleted it.... but I wouldn't think that would move me up to the position of "thread Starter". I'll have to start quoting questions that I respond to.....
