So, I was wondering what the consensus would be on addinga blue dot to the brake light lens. I have a 52' Chevy truck that's restored...has blue dots on the tail lights. The POPO don't seem to mind too much on it, but was wondering if anyone has been stopped on their bike because of the blue dots. I love the look at night...just trying to weigh the consequences.
I'm in Illinois. Don't know if it is illegal or not. Don't care because it really lights up the back end of my Ultra. Anything to keep them cagers from hitting me. I have never ever been stoppped for the blue dots. I'd say go for it. The police have other things to worry about than a couple of blue dots.[sm=biker.gif]
Put em on a couple of weeks ago, havent been stopped yet up here. Im heading south on the weekend, should I be carrying spare lenses if this is illegal.
Had them on my Fat Boy for years in Dallas area. I never had anyone say anything about them. Give it a try. Better to ask for forgivness than permission.
i dont know what the police are like where you guys live- but unless you dont have any lights on your car, youll be fine here in Philly.
however, if someone who looks like a criminal, acts like a criminal or is a known criminal- ill stop them for the most minute, miniscule infraction. THEN ill take their gun/drugs/stolen car and arrest them.
NORMAL law abiding people dont have anything to worry about.
