Default Starter Problem
Just a heads up. 5K miles on my 07 Ultra. Started having infrequent and random problem with starter engaging. It would grind but not engage. Fortunately when I took it to the dealer, the problem repeated for them. Turned out to be3 teeth off the starter ring gear. All broken pieces located and new gear installed. Dealer indicated he encountered same problem once before on a 07 screamin eagle. I was back on the road in 2 hours.

I thought the "new and improved" starter was supposed to be so much better thn the old standby Jackshaft!!
Guess maybe not......
