Bought a 99 ultra classic with bub pipes on it. Got a big sucker the other day and plan on putting this on. I assume, after hearing on this site, that I will need a fuel pak or such, and wonder with what very little experience I have, what to do as far as fine tuning this set up?
Would I need a map or does the fuel pak, or whatever unit I may choose, have the tuning instructions?
Are bub pipes anything decent or what is it you look for as far as performance goes, not necessarily speed? I am not seeking loud pipes, cause if I want to be deaf after a rideI'll ride my sportster
Bub is who makes Rineharts isnt it? Im getting the true dual Rineharts by Bub on my glide before I pick her up. The ones on my friends bike look great, and sound great, but tend to be loud. Dunno what you have in particular though.
You can get a power commander III pre-programmed for that set up. I have the exact same setup and found a guy on eBay that will sell you the PC ready to go for your same set up. His user id was fuelmoto. I bought it outside of eBay and if I recall correctly, it was about $250 shipped. Easy plug and go.
