why so many hard starts with this tuner

 

Maybe your settings aren't right for your bike? Both of my bikes have thundermax tuners, and both start just fine. Have you tried changing timing or fuel enrichment settings?

 

Thundermax has pretty good customer support. You can data log your starting and send it to Thundermax. They will be able to help you. Hard starts are usually due to TAC and cranking fuel settings. I have two bikes using the Thundermax they have helped me get them both starting fine. Everything you need to do this is on the Thundermax app. If you don't have it you can download it from their website. They explain how to data log and sent it

 

It is most likely you / your settings not the Thunder Max. I ran one on my 2011 RGU for 6 years and it always started / ran great.

 

My 14 RK always starts fine. I had Thundermax on my 06, 10, and 11 ultra (same one) and always worked geat. Do the data collection steps and send to zippers
