Price of installation of Cams
#31
anyone have any experience with Daytona Bike Week prices? last year I already had cams in my Softail so I wasn't looking, but saw that S&S was offering free "installs". I'd imagine that's just on slip-ons and whatnot, but if it turns out that's cams and pushrods, my bank account might take a small hit this March for the Road King

I would call S&S and get the details from them, might be a real good thing.

Free installs is out there.
Hales HD in Mansfield Ohio was running a winter promo free installs on all parts purchased from them.
That included cams, complete engine upgrade kits, etc.
Now free cam installs by S&S at Bikeweek seems like a stretch to me unless you just bought a complete new 124" motor or something.

called local dealer, he said 9 hours for a M8 Cam install, $1080 in labor alone.
i thought I read on here where you could take off the head pipes, tranny mount bolts, under bag bolts, drop the exhaust as a unit, and do a M8 in an hour or so?
