Reverse would be handy at times, kinda embarrassing when someone comes over to help you back your bike up on loose gravel, dirt, grass, or sand.

But I've helped a lot of people do the same.

It also takes a lot of time and skill to recognise the best circumstances in which to park. The slightest slope can either make parking a breeze or a headache. I've been riding the silly things for over 40 years and am getting better!

I installed one on my TriGlide. I also kept the stock electric reverse. The mechanic reverse requires a more few steps than the stock reverse and the gears grind when putting into reverse. The instruction state to shift into first gear, then into neutral and then into reverse. This was to prevent the from gears grinding, but it still happens. Do not go from neutral into reverse. I used the electric reverse only for backing up a very short distances and on level ground. I went with the MotorTrike's reverse since it has a engine kill switch to prevent damage to the tranny if you have both forward and reverse gears engaged at the same time. The tranny fluid capacity remain the same as stock. I did consider the Baker's reverse(no reach back for the reverse handle), but the part and labor was out of my reach.

That Worp shift lever looks like an after thought. I hope that is just a prototype.

AIM also has 2 brass shear off keys to protect the transmission incase you use first nd reverse. I can back my dresser bach over the curb on Main Street in Daytona. Took about 3 1/2 hrs to installati

Love my 2008 Harley Ultra but,
these touring bikes are very heavy, around 900 lbs.
They are very expensive and still not Standard Reverse on touring models, whaaat.
Wake the Puck Up Harley-Davidson!
HD use to be the Inventor.

Have grandchildren so bought a double sidecar, hooked up correctly to ultra, it really struggled.
Ran across a good deal on a 1988 gl1500 with same double sidecar, it is fast and has Reverse.

I've been in a few situations where you had no choice.

I have a Champion reverse gear on my 06 RK . The previous owner had it installed. It came in handy a couple of times .
