Would like to replace the handlebars on my 2014 Street Glide Special. Always get a knot high between my shoulders with the stockers. (Old Guy 64). 5" 10" normal length arms)
Been looking at the 2+2 bars (2" up and 2" back).
Not interested in Ape Hangers!
Haven't ridden a Road King or New Heritage Softail, but both of those in the showroom feel much better then my OEM SG bars.
Interested in hearing about your experiences and feedback.

I had Wild 1 575 bars on my 2007 Ultra Classic and I have Wild One 579 bars on my 2016 FLHTK. Great looking/quality bars. Pull back is very comfortable and your hands stay behind the fairing. Young guy 67.
Just changed out my Wild One 575 bars for Khrome Werks fat bagger bars in the 12 inch size. Liked the 575 bars, but after trying a buddies 12 inch bars I realized I could easily reach my bars, but after some time in the saddle I was slouching over. The taller bars make you set up straight. Very comfy and much easier on the back!
Only problem you would have with the 12 inch bars is they put your hands just above the fairing. Wild One 578 bars are between the 575 and my 12 inch bars. I believe they keep your hands just below the fairing. Might be what you are looking for. I used the word bars too many times in these two replies, but if I ended my sentences with 12 inch and 8 inch and so on I assumed some smart **** would have a sexual comment. Har Har!
I have wo 575s I really like them very comfortable, hands behind fairing , bike handles better. I was torn between the 578 and 575 575 was a little lower. check out the wild ones web site a lot of good information with pics comparing the bars.
I put Kromewerks 2+2 Narrow sweepers on my 2012 Streeglide. The wrist angle is perfect. I think a 2+1 might work better but I have some adjustment in them to move them forward
