Default Pushrod question

i am changing out the cylinders on my brothers 107 build, we are using adjustable pushrods. Not changing out anything else, just took the top end apart. I removed the push rods out the top without collapsing them since I had to remove the rocker assemblies and heads anyway, when I put it back together do I need to readjust them? Or can I just drop them
into the spot they came out of? I can’t see any reason I’d need to readjust them since I’m using the same cams lifters and heads etc. if I should readjust them do I need to bleed the lifters down or anything? What’s the best procedure for that? Thanks!!

I am thinking, start with a FSM and then go check your resume and see if you are even soewhat qualified for this?”

Trust me im qualified, probably more qualified than most. Part of being a professional tech is having enough humility to ask more experienced people for their opinions, which is why I posted my question. Sorry my FSM doesn’t say anything about aftermarket lifters of pushrods.

If the cylinders are decked differently than the originals and/or your installing ported heads, you need to readjust the pushrods . This is because those things will change the distance between the cam lobe base circle and the rocker arm socket that the pushrod rests in. In other words, if the cylinders are shorter than the ones you took off or the heads have had material planes off, that distance will be shorter, meaning the pushrods need to be shortened.

Cool Re-adjust ...

Would be best to re-adjust the rods (no short cuts) (why run the risk of a noisy ticking sound ,and have to do it again anyway) ...as for the lifters...once you pull the rods out ...they will bleed down on their on by the time you are ready to reinstall the rods ...
you will fell the resistance when you start the adjustment procedure ...
good luck...

Well. Ya'll have already gone into all that. Might as well and go ahead and adjust the push rods. And. Professionally complete the job.

Being you brought it up
My good nature and all, I just figure if the elementary is that complicated, why bother, and so I erased it.
I thought it was great advice to bust out a FSM , but anyone should have thought of it.
Most anyone knows cylinders are not cut the same length.
I did not see where my advice was going to help you if you knew everything or knew nothing, so I erased it.
Simple,, being you brought up what I had posted for less than ten seconds.
