My 2000 Electra Glide has a Bosch H4 headlight, and the lense has yellowed with time. I started rooting around for a replacement, and was shocked to see how proud some of these manufacturers are. Even Harley wants $130 for one, and that seems like a hell of a deal. I want something better, but not several hundred dollars better. I don't have the need for something fancy. If you guys have any suggestions I'm all ears.
I ran the trucklite phase 7 for quite a while. I really liked it and if you keep your eye out they show up in the classified sections from time to time.
If you want something cheap and easy, go to the auto parts store and get 7" sealed beam halogen. I run the Sylvania Silverstar and I think it's like $25 to $30. Pretty much any 7" round high/lo beam headlight will work.
I don't run country roads at night so I don't really need the light for me to see, I just need to be seen.
