I've had this show on my trouble codes a few times. Anyone know the meaning? I can't find anything anywhere for it.

 

Are you sure you read it right?? I can not find any suck code in my 2008 elec diagnostic manual. There are no codes that start with p6, the closest thing in there with a 1005 number is B1005(fuel level sending unit high / open instruments)

 

Had it show a couple of times. of course reading the thing could be b1005 but it does shoe a distinctive P in front of it. Doesn't affect how it runs just curious as to why it shows up once in a while

Even though it doesn't effect the operation of the bike you still need to address it. Call the dealer and see what they say. Hopefully you don't have one of those places that says "sure bring it on in, we will fix it for ya" Let folks here know how you make out for future reference. If there is a "P" in front of it that means its in the ecm (computer) but that's a fairly broad category , it could be a lot of things.
