I was getting on the bike after work the other day. Put the key in, turned on and pushed the start button. Nothing. No noise from the EFI, couldn't start the engine (wouldn't even chug). The computer display said "bus err." I turned the key off and tried again and the same thing happened. Off and on again and it worked without any problem and the code was gone. I tried to look up the code in the owner's manual but couldn't find it. Anyone have insight on this? Thanks in advance.

I checked my 2009 Dyna Electrical Diagnostic Manual. BUS ER troubleshooting is found on pages 4-33 through 4-37. You might want to get the manual for your bike and troubleshoot it or take the bike to a dealer for troubleshooting. The flowchart indicates several potential problems, from short to ground or short to voltage to faulty speedometer or tachometer (if equipped).
