So I'm learning lessons as I go. Everytime I change one thing, I need to change another lol. Good times
So I bought a Hoppe Quadzilla for my 04 Road King Custom. Little did I know until I read the specific install instructions ( I know, who reads those?) that I have to swap out my duckbill Nacelle (who names this stuff?) and trim piece and replace it with standard ones. Problem is, the part is obsolete and the one I found on ebay looks scuffed.
Is there any aftermarket places that may deal in obsolete Harley parts?
The part numbers are :
67866-03
67868-03
Only the car cover is obsolete
Thanks in advance for the help
Just curious. How do you know they are obsolete? The nacelle on the Road King hasn't really changed in years. I know the part doesn't come up on the HD website but have you gone to the parts counter with those part numbers and asked them to order it? I bet they can. If not, I bet the newer version will work.

Good luck!
I spoke with several Harley dealers in Canada, Minnesota and a few others that were recommended. They told be that part was obsolete. The dealer in Duluth searched the database and found that only on other dealer was showing they had one. They were in Hawaii lol.
I bit the bullet and bought one off ebay. It's off a 100th Anniversary Classic so the badging looks different but I can live with that.
Have you tried it to SEE if it will work as is?
It can be fun to do what some say can't be done.
My Reckless Fairing fits right over my frenched rings, not even close to an issue.
I would have to see that it WON'T fit for myself...

I'm a visual learner so I set the wing on the quick mounts and it definitely won't fit. I took the duckbill off and it fits perfectly. It leaves the bar mounts and steering lock exposed and looking unfinished but the bike is functional.
I think the trim piece is necessary to keep tain and debris out of the slot in the headlight assembly and the nacelle dresses it up.
Both will go back on when they arrive next week lol

Oh well, worth a try. Mounts must be different from a Reckless Fairing.

It's all good. I appreciate the tip. There are so many variables and configurations that I'm open to every idea someone takes the time to pass along. That's why I like this site so much. Such a wide variety of experience and knowledge.
