Default 08 flhtcu rear brake switch

Anybody know of a GM part number for the rear brake switch for an 08 UC or am I destined to visit the dealer and pay way too much?

I don't know for sure, but I don't think any cars use a pressure switch like HD does. Most are mounted to the brake pedal and not in the pressure system.

Look it up for yourself and you'll find that it's not an expensive part. 72023-51E

Just replaced mine the end of last season. At work so unable to give you specifics but I just googled the part number and bought a replacement online. I do know it wasn't expensive at all. I would imagine your switch is the same as mine as I have an 08 also.

I found one at a parts store years ago. IIRC it fit a late 60's model VW.

Fscott, I just replaced mine on my 06 UC a few months ago. I bought at the dealer and the price was reasonable. The parts guy says he sells quite a few as the switch is close to the exhaust.

The job was not that hard. Technically you have to bleed the rear brake system after install. I found very little fluid loss as I switched it pretty quick, pedal was still firm so I blew off the bleed!

I had mine replaced last season. I needed to have the abs flushed anyway so I asked the dealer to change the switch then. They didn't charge me anything for changing it or for the switch.
