Default Fork mounted tie downs

Just installed the fork mounted tie down hooks on my 2016 sgs, Trailering to North Carolina, These things work great, They should be standard eqiuiment on all there bikes, Great for bike lifts too, Super easy to install, Thanks Danny

I had them on my bike when I had to trailer my bike once. They're OK, but the straps loosened up and I had to keep checking them every so many miles due to the bike bouncing up and down during the trip. I don't like that the forks compress when the straps are tightened when using the tie down hooks.

I've since learned that running the straps around the lower fork tube fender supports is another option, plus the forks aren't compressed. YMMV

Make sure you know how to put your bike into trailering mode before you leave. If you don't you will hve a very dead battery by the time you get there.

Default Tie downs

Ditch the straps, had the straps loosen because of suspension from bike, Bike tipped over, broke wheel chock, $4,500 in fender replacement, and cosmetic damage. Now use the Biker Bar, traveled many miles with it in trailer and not one problem. Very easy to use.

I rode my Bike to Trailer Week! Don't get your Panties in a knot, this was a Sticker I had on an old Helmet.
