Default GPS on 2014 Limited

The last two years I've been using Harley Ride Planner. Before that I was using Tyre To Travel. (Not so good anymore) Recently I created some group rides only to notice that what route I laid out on my PC is different from what the bikes GPS is doing.
Don't call me crazy, I've been doing this for a while. There are some rides that come out perfect. Very hard to preview the ride on the bike, super slow. This has been frustrating. Has any one had or heard of this?

Single most likely cause is having the navigation options set to options that aren't available in ride planner. Ride planner allows the selection of avoidance's, but won't allow you to select other options available on the 6.5GT (type of path options: ie twisty, scenic, shortest, fastest). Set the bike's options to shortest, using the same avoidance's used in RP and add enough waypoints in your RP session to ensure the route between waypoints forces it to shortest path between points.

Ok. Thanks. I'll try it today. I have two group rides coming up.

The ride planning software I usually use, Moto-go-loco, appears to be in a pissing contest with Goggle. Yeah I know who will win that one. So I decided to try the Harley Ride Planner. After attempting to use it I confirmed that it really sucks. After repeated attempts I decided it not only sucks but it swallows. I can't believe they have such a poor product.

It's certainly not as good as it could be. The early versions of Tyre to Travel was very easy to use plus very detailed. My Route App has almost replaced it.

I plant flags "waypoints" on ride planner so that it forces GPS to follow my path.
I make sure to zoom into the ride planner program to make sure flag is not planted way out in the grass.
This is for a regular automotive type GPS.
If not the GPS unit will try to recalculate for distance or time when transferring file.

Thumbs up

I use My Route App for all my routes on my 14 and also my 19 what I have
found works the best for me to keep the infotainment system
on the route is to put a waypoint after each turn onto a new road. Works every time.

Thanks. More waypoints should help. I uninstalled Tyre to Travel thinking it could of been part of the problem. I would layout the ride in Ride Planner then review it in Tyre. I have two new rides in the GPS now that I'm going to try. My Route seemed to be ok, but I ran out of the free trial. I will try again soon.
