I need to fabricate a plate that will cover up the cut in the leather of the tour pack speaker pods since I won't be using the volume controls. Any ideas?
It's interesting that you ask. I just bought a used Corbin seat for my girlfriend's bike on-line, and it had as small tear in the leather. I ended up taking it to a shoe repair place. The guy there said he can only put a patch on it for $7.00. Good news is he did a great job, and when the seat is on the bike, the patch was not really noticeable. It was a well-spent $7. I would suggest trying a shoe or leather repair shop first. Good luck however.

I just changed my signature picture. Look at the rear speaker pod. It came with a cut in the leather for the volume controls. I want some sort of plate that I can bolt up from the back side to cover this.
Why not just get a Harley medalion of some sort and stick it on there? Or just take a piece of sheet metal and cut it to the size/shape you want and then powdercoat it.
Good ideas here. I'm afraid of the cost of the harley switch to just be used as a dummy. I'll check out some trophy shops to see what we can come up with.
