QNman I'm chicken to ride on that tire!!!!! lol

I have a couple friends a few years ago said something like wearing off the center of the tire means you don't take turns fast enough. I ask them don't they think all those high speed take offs aren't wearing the center too? I think they finally figured it out.

Why wouldn’t you be able too?
You have to counter steer to make turns at any kind of speed. Apes have no effect on that.

Just don't dip those chicken strips into too much Ranch sauce....

11" mini apes and went through the tail of the dragon (and other runs) this year with no issues. Sure the higher you go the less stable it becomes. So just be mindful of that and you should be alright.

This is my rear tire, the chicken strip on the right side is because I run a 2 into 1 pipe and I drag my muffler on that side and can’t lean any more. Apes don’t slow you down.

Im not sure what height has to do with stability. I’d say it’s more a matter if your bars are too tall or too far forward. This creates a reach problem when slow speed maneuvering. If you don’t have to overreach, stability should be unaffected.

I had Chubby Wild1 10” bagger apes installed on my 2008 Street Glide and I immediately noticed a huge difference in low speed turns parking lot maneuvers. Especially highway on/off ramps were so much more confidence inspiring. I guess as long as you keep height of the bars relative to your height.....
