2012 EGU throttle question
Howdy!
My 2012 EGU started idling faster for some reason.
I can roll the throttle forward a hair and it idles at 1100 like before.
what got knocked outta whack?

I believe this is the procedure, although I have never tried it before--
Easy to do ...
Don't touch the throttle .. kill switch in the run position ...
Turn ignition switch on, wait for engine light to go off, turn ignition off.
Do this 4 times, then start the engine. This resets the computer.
Note: when shutting down the engine make sure it's at idle. Don't blip the throttle, and don't shut it down on cold idle. The computer remembers the last rpm at shutdown and sets the idle to that.

A suspected cause of your problem not mentioned above is holding the front brake at shutdown. The brake itself does nothing for the idle setting but the palm of your hand might roll the throttle forward slightly and give a false idle setting to the ECM.

Hmmm. Good point and I have held the brake when shutting down.
If the above hints don’t help, run your diagnostic codes and check for a failing engine temp sensor. These sometimes fail and will make your idle drift high and low. If it completely fails your engine will not start or run.
Search the internet for instructions on reading the codes. It’s easy to do.

This was the fix! Thanks for the help!
