Default Alarm problems

I just bought a 04 Ultra Classic. The guy gave me two key fobs but said he never used the alarm system and took the batteries out of them to keep them from accidently going off. Told me if I got new batteries for them, they should work okay. I got a battery for one of the fobs, and sure enough I hit it once and the alarm was engaged. Well curiosity got the best of me so I flipped the switch on and tried to start the bike to see what all would happen as far as whistles and bells going off. Now the problem..... I can't disable the alarm... I have tried everything I know to do. Another problem is I dont have a owners manual (working on that tho) Supposedly you just have tp press the fob twice and it disables the alarm right? When I do that everything flashes twice, but I still have the little red key flashing on my odometer saying the alarm is still enbabled. Somebody help me please......

Default RE: Alarm problems

Okay, seems like I fixed my own problem and I feel like a real #%@$. I figured out you have to double-click the key fob, not just press it twice. The double click (yeah like a mouse on a computer) is faster and thats what it's looking for. I was just pressing it twice, kinda in slow mo I guess. Okay, so yesterday was a really bad day, gosh I hope today is better!!!! lol
