Default Fuel pump not turning on

2000 ultra classic, unfortunately due to multiple back surgeries I haven't been able to ride my bikes for over a year. kept battery up with a tender and started at least once a month. This time it's not firing, fuel pump is not going on. I've read lots of things here on troubleshooting fuel pump problems. the fuses are fine. The right side of bike does not seem to have fuse relays like I see on videos. my question is , the left side box has a relay that says "START RELAY" would that have something to do with the fuel pump? Thanks for any help on this.

I just went to O'reilly's and bought a new "Start Relay" didn't help.

The 1995 up to 1999.....and early 2000 models had the same fuel pump/filter setup. The rest of the 2000-2001 was different.

Depending on which one you have being a 2000 model....the fuel pump wiring underneath the console can easily become disconnected. However, you may have the later style assembly and it’s no longer a problem. Anyways, I would check it....especially if all the fuses are good.

Of course....on/off switch in run?

You need to take the battery for a load test. You can have all the voltage in the world but without amperage you're going nowhere. I'd bet it's time for a battery.

I removed counsel and everything is connected, I tested the wires under counsel to fuel pump and there is no power there.

So even though it cranks strong, it could not be powering the fuel pump?

Is your check engine light coming on and then going off?

Are you able to wire directly to the pump....bypassing relays and other wiring?

Can you swap relays?

The light goes on and off like it should. I replaced the starter relay and it made no difference. It stopped working while sitting on garage floor, I'm going to have a neighbor help me get it on my lift tomorrow. I have a 2001 cop bike sitting next to it that I could swap relays. I'm just not seeing any relays on the right side of the bike.

The System Relay controls the power to the Fuel pump. Power to pull in the relay comes from the kill switch and ground for the relay coil is through the ECM. Check to see if the System relay is getting power on W/BK wire. Make sure fuel pump fuse is good.

Does The fuel pump run when you first turn the kill switch on?
