Default Help!

Help! I installed a CVO 110 ci engine into my 2006 Harley FLHT (carb bike) now the bike with the new engine wont start. somebody told me that using this engine on my bike is a lost cause as the 110 engine requires ECM NOT an ICM as my bike has. I am getting fuel but the bike wont start. Any help is greatly appreciated.

We need more information ... does it turn over ... does it have spark ... how do you know it's getting fuel ... the more information the better

I can see the carb is squirting into engine but I had someone tell me that since my bike is carbureated, there is a big difference in the timing etc. I bought an ECM for a 110 engine but found out I have an ICM on it since it is a carb bike if i squirt starting fluid it almost acts like it wants to start but doesnt. This engine swap has caused me to actually have a stroke so i cant it it beat me. The engine cranks over but doesnt attempt to start. I tried swapping in the crank position sensor so that it acted like it was out of time then started backfiring. I dont want to pull engine back out and buy another engine for my bike but i am at a loss

The 110 would need a more higher fuel pressure I am thinking. also, the ICM would need some kind of update to work with the new motor.

My humble thoughts. But like Freedom Rider mentions, more info would help.
