Needed to cut more heat out of my 2015 SG for the passenger. It currently has the cat delete and tuned properly but the Oklahoma and Texas heat is just too much for the wifes feet.
Who all makes a ceramic coated 2/2 header other than fullsac and Fuelmoto? I want aftermarket look or I would just get one of them.
The biggest improvement I’ve made for the best to my rear seat commander, were the foot lifts...or whatever they are called. They life the passenger foot pegs or floor boards up higher, and further from the hot pipes.
Jet-Hot is in OKC, they were one of the first to do ceramic coatings and do all the coatings for NHRA & NASCAR. They have several coatings depending on the temp range you want. Look them up on the inter-web and will probably cost less than an aftermarket header.
Can't offer any feedback as yet since I don't have bike back together, but I just had these guys ceramic coat header for me. Had done some research online and they seem like the real deal; also do coatings on internal engine surfaces inc. pistons and heads. Exhaust coating is rough and white so not particularly pretty but can be painted w/high temp paint and very little shows anyway...
I've got a local powder coating company that does ceramic coating. They use the CeraKote high temp, the same stuff your high end gun gets finished in .. well kinda. Unless it's a suppressor or some other high heat application, it would call for the bake on that's not rated to as high of a temperature.
I've several headers ceramic coated. They hold up quite well and retain the finish well. They have just about any color you want.
DK Industries is the company I've used before. I fully intend to Cerakote a few parts and pieces on mine in the future. I can't fit the exhaust in my blasting cabinet, otherwise I'd do that myself as well.
