Default Windshield

I've had my Street Glide for a few weeks and this windshield does not cut it for me in the long haul. I am 6'2'' and the wind about takes my glasses off when I'm 60 mph or above. Any recommendations for a quality shield that is a bit taller?

Do you like to loook through the windshield or over it?

I prefer to look over it.

I have a Long Ride Shields recurve. It pushes the air up and over you without have to be tall enough to be in your line of sight.
For them you measure but sitting on the bike and hold a string from your nose/upper lip straight out to where you would like the top of the windshield to be. Then measure down to the top of the dash. This gives their height measurement. I highly recommend them.
Their shields come wrapped in plastic and you can test fit and send back for no charge as long as they haven't been unwrapped.

I picked up a new to me 2012 Road Glide about 3 weeks ago now. It had the shorty opaque windshield on it. Totally useless for me, at highway speed my head was bobbing all over the place. I replaced it with a Klockwerks. They're not cheap for sure. And the opinions on them seem to be at the extremes, you love or hate them, not much in between. I love mine. It does exactly what they're advertised to do. I have a pocket of air in front and to the side where there is still some air flow, but calm. The rough air is well above my head and out to the sides. And I love the way it looks on my bike. Just my 2 cents.

Good info. I appreciate it. I like to look over the windshield same as you. I will look them up. Take care.

I was looking at them on JP's site. They get pretty good reviews and the price isn't that bad. I'd probably like 7-9'' of shield. I think this stock one is 4 or 5''.

A recurve windshield will help a lot. Also, don't forget chrome fork lowers to really reduce the buffeting.

It's a look over shield too. With the curves in the shield, the view through it is distorted. And KW recommends the same sizing method cprhed mentioned above. I called KW also to confirm. The windshield arrived wrapped nicely and I had my son hold it up to the bike still wrapped so I could see if it wasn't too tall. Had it been, I could've returned it for different size.

When I had my SGS loved my LRS 10” Ultra WideTouring. I’m 5’7” so guessing you’ll need at least a 12” or larger

your never gonna get rid of it all.. but maybe a couple inches would help... forget those curved things IMO.. kind of a racket... try a different helmet... ask around for opinions... i have settled on a gmax half shell that is crazy better than my hjc was... lowers will help also as quite a bit of wind is pushed up from below tank

The recurve only works at speeds over 65 miles per hour
