Default Head pipe

can anyone tell me if a head pipe from an 07 up touring model will fit on an 06... I am wanting to run my left side pipe under the bike so my wife is not able to bump it as easy getting on and off bike.

There is no difference between the '07 and '06 touring head pipe; it was '09 with the frame change that the MoCo changed the head pipe to the cross under frame configuration. You can purchase a new head pipe like the S&S Power Tune head pipe with the cross under connector. The system includes a bracket the bolts to the to early oil pan to connect/support the cross over connecting pipe; no mufflers included. Or, you can do what I did with my '02 FLHT and replace the oil pan with the '09 up pan that is configured to accommodate the later cross under system and have your choice of head pipe from all the aftermarket vendors. The change moves a lot of heat away from rider and passenger.

I thing you mean an 09 -up.. 07s and 08s had pretty much the same exhaust as earlier. You will need to replace the oil pan and either tap holes in the tranny or make some kind of bracket that hangs off the oil pan screws. I assume it's left side contact on the pipe? You could also go to a 2 into 1.. Heck plug the cross over and use only the right side muffler. Khromeworks make a 2-1-2 that doe the low side cross over.. IIRC SnS gets theirs from KW.

Thanks, the person that has it for sale has it listed as 07 up. Thanks for the feedback.

Put a later style exhaust on my 03 Road King, had serious ground clearance issues afterwards where would drag sooner and harder scared the crap out of me first time.
