Default dead battery

Ok, I have an 06 street glide, got off the bike at 8:30 am... left the power turned on (lesson learned)
went out of work at 4pm to go home, dead...completely...
brought my wife's vehicle out to jump it later that night...hooked it up...lights came on, etc etc...
it attempted to start but wouldn't turn over...would give one turn and then stop, even while connected to the vehicle with jumpers.
took the battery home, charged it over night...went to bed the charge said charging, came out in the morning and the charge had a red light that said 'trouble'
so i took the battery over to try and give it shot anyways, put it on the bike, and nothing, not even a faint glimpse of hope...i'm down to taking it to a dealer and testing it...and/or buying a new one.
any suggestions would be appreciated...thanks.

i wouldve put this in the electrical forum, but it doesn't give me the 'new post' option...

even if it's my fault for being a dumb.ss and leaving the power on? and then hooking it up to a charger for a night? i figure they have to have an out somewhere on this one.

if not great...i have the extended...but still time on the initial 2 yrs as well...about 8500 miles on the bike, figured it was time for one to go out...but maybe i'm wrong

I disagree - Did the same thing to my 04 - did not have time to run to the next town for a new battery (ya, I know its time). Charged it and that was two months ago - I will be buying a new Battery soon. But for now and around town - it is working just fine...
